Here are the photos from our recent trip. I know this plugin isn’t the best too look at; the displaying (a long line of photos) can be improved but I don’t have the time right now to work on it! Enjoy.
Nanny no more!
Feb 1st
Well that didn’t last too long, the nanny is bailing on us. The short version of the story is that her husband (who is in India) has to come back to the US so that he doesn’t forfeit the five years he has towards US Citizenship. Since him coming here and staying for a few weeks and then going back to India was not an option that was acceptable to her, and him living with us for the rest of the year was not an option that I was willing to entertain, we are up the creek without a paddle.
We’ll need to find some sort of coverage from Feb 22nd onwards until May. Suggestions? Ideas?
Poses two, three and four are applicable to this situation.
Two months already!
Nov 23rd
Wow time flies. Isha is already two months old and she is one great kid who loves to smile. She’s sleeping through the night and usually wakes up around 6 AM which works out well for Neetu’s schedule. Now if we could get her to consistently like the bottle we would be golden. Well that and the fact that any discomfort and the child will not stop crying until Neetu takes her (usually in the evenings).
Riya is adapting to the big sister and almost four year old role really well. It’s amazing how much she retains from day to day life and is always listening to what we are talking about. Her mannerisms, her speech seems so advanced for her age and it’s often scary the connections she makes between the conversations she has with us or overhears between Neetu and myself.
Some photos to sign off with and hopefully I’ll update this more often now (just for you dad
)
6 weeks to go!
Jul 30th
Well so I have not been blogging as much as I should but..well yeah that’s my bad. I should get paid to blog! I think $1 per post shouldn’t be that big a deal especially since I am paying myself. (Dad you have to pay $1 to read my blog since you’re the only one who consistently reads this blog)!
So yah the 6 weeks to go bit; if you didn’t know we’re having our second child, science has proclaimed that this one will be a girl as well. I needed more estrogen around the house (sarcasm people) but Riya and I have an awesome bond and hopefully the second one won’t be a mama’s girl. Oh and while I’m making wishes she will also hold on to loving sports (like daddy) for a lot longer than Riya did.
Neetu has had a busy week, holding down the full time job and organizing the JSGA Youth Summer Camp. I think this year they had around 55 kids and plethora of volunteers where Neetu led the effort of keeping everyone occupied (also known as keeping sanity in some circles). Of course it wasn’t all her and there were some key people who made things happen and earned some mighty fine admiration from Neetu.
Riya is back into swimming classes. This time she is in Preschool 2 level classes and that translates to the parent not having to get in there with her. While she’s not the most proficient level 2′er (she skipped level 1 because her previous teacher thought that she would be bored in that class); she makes up for it by being totally fearless. In fact the first thing her teacher told me after the first class was “she’s fearless”.
What have I been up to? Boring stuff really… I assembled a desk (for my computers), worked on a website and played a bit of tennis.
Hackintosh – My Build
Apr 22nd
Some of you know that I have built a Hackintosh (completed last night). I wanted to share with the group the specs/howto if you wanted to take a plunge as well. For those of you that don’t know, a Hackintosh is a Macintosh without using Apple’s hardware that they charge an arm and a leg for.
I followed the following tutorial (the key drivers for building are motherboard/video card): http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?t=931
That’s all there is to it. It was fairly easy to setup and if you go with the same hardware as I did then let me know and I can certainly answer questions that I can. Plus the forums on TonyMacX are awesome so that’s a great place to start. I am including my hardware list below, the hard drive is a Western Digital but that really doesn’t matter so long as it’s SATA.
Hardware:
Stuff I already had: 320GB SATA Drive, 23” Dell Monitor, USB Keyboard, PS2 Keyboard, USB Mouse.

Moving moving
Apr 4th
I know it’s been a while since I have posted anything but life has been so darn busy. To start off with we have moved all of our stuff into the house. Next comes the crazy part of actually unpacking all of the boxes. Thankfully we have family and friends who are going help us next weekend.
Not sure when we will actually move into the house but I am ready to move into our own place. (we are working on a plan to take mom with us for a while…I haven’t gone crazy).
Well that is about it for now. I guess I should mention that this is the first post from the iTouch.

Postie Test from Gmail

This is a test post to see if I can get Neetu to blog by making it as easy as sending an e-mail! Yes that’s right Neetu all you have to do is send an e-mail.
You can do stuff like insert images simply by attaching them. This test is from an actual e-mail client. I will do one more test where it’s from the blackberry! Yep from the BB!
